"So, what are you giving up for Lent?" Lent prepares us for Easter. Lent is not only a season for giving something up, it is a season for "taking up" repentance, prayer, fasting, and reflection on our baptismal covenant vows. Lent is a time to take up the discipline of listening to the voice of the Spirit. - Lynn Jost, President, Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary
