The Missions Committee at FGMB view as their mandate the task of informing the congregation of the activities of the MB conference supported missions agencies. We also encourage the support of the FGMB adopted missionaries and support individuals as they explore both short and long term missions projects.

IVCF
Ministries represented at FGMB Serving International Students
There are approximately 65,000 international students attending Canadian colleges and universities. The smallest number of students are on college campuses and the largest numbers are at big, well-known universities. Two ministries that serve among well over 20, 000 of these students in Canada are IVCF's International Student Ministry (IVCF-ISM) and International Student Ministries Canada (ISMC). These students clearly represent every country in the world. Two members of FGMB are on staff with these ministries: Mark and Neena Huebert (with IVCF-ISM).

b) IVCF-ISM

IVCF-ISM staff and nearly 800 volunteers estimate that they are significantly in touch with about 2,000 international students across Canada. From May 2003 to April 2004, Winnipeg's IVCF-ISM volunteers (approx. 35) and 3 staff (Mark Huebert, Stephanie Unger, Nicole Alty) were priveliged to help give about 120 internationals (students, alumni, family members) significant opportunity to experience God's love and truth through friendships, Christmas Camp, a 4 Day Canoe Trip, Bible studies, social events etc.
