The Missions Committee at FGMB view as their mandate the task of informing the congregation of the activities of the MB conference supported missions agencies. We also encourage the support of the FGMB adopted missionaries and support individuals as they explore both short and long term missions projects.

Generations at Risk

HIV/AIDS Projects

MCC is in the midst of a 10-year multi-million dollar initiative called Generations at Risk to respond to the growing HIV/AIDS pandemic.

MCC provides aid for returning Sudanese refugees

MCC is providing $990,000 Cdn./$800,000 U.S. in aid to help resettle refugees who are returning to southern Sudan after a 21-year civil war.

MCC will continue to provide humanitarian aid to Sudan's Darfur region, where violence against civilians has caused the displacement of more than 2 million people and hundreds of thousands of deaths. IVCF

Ministries represented at FGMB Serving International Students
There are approximately 65,000 international students attending Canadian colleges and universities. The smallest number of students are on college campuses and the largest numbers are at big, well-known universities. Two ministries that serve among well over 20, 000 of these students in Canada are IVCF's International Student Ministry (IVCF-ISM) and International Student Ministries Canada (ISMC). These students clearly represent every country in the world. Two members of FGMB are on staff with these ministries: Mark and Neena Huebert (with IVCF-ISM).
