Nursery: For infants and toddlers during both services. We have parents and youth that will take care of your little ones during the service. September to end of June.
Kids Church: During the 9:30 service children age 2-5 will be dismissed at about 10. The children meet in one group in the Noah’s Ark room.
Kid and Mini Kid Zone and Zone 56 @ 11
(September-May long weekend)
During our 11 am service children from age 2 to grade 6 meet in their age specific groups.
We use the curriculum called Gather ‘Round. You can learn more about this at their website www.gatherround.org
Mini kids
(age 2-5) have a time to play in their small groups first and then they meet as a large group to hear the Bible Story for that day. During this time they sing together, give their offering and talk about the giving project, pray together. After this time they go back to their small groups and have an activity time that will hopefully connect them to the story in a new way.
Kid Zone
(grade 1-4) starts their time all together with singing, offering, hearing the story and prayer. After this time they go into small groups to look at the story in more depth, share and pray with each other and engage in activities that will help them connect the story to their own lives.
Zone 56
(grade 5 &6) spend the hour together in their own space and learn about the same Bible story as the other groups. They engage in learning that is geared towards their age; recognizing they are not young children anymore but neither are they teens, yet.
Spring Session
When the church services go to one service on the May long weekend the Sunday morning schedule for children changes as well.
During the service, usually about 30 minutes into to it, children age 2-grade 2 will be dismissed to 2 large group times. Those that have been serving our children Sunday mornings up to this time will be taking a break till Fall. Others will be asked to serve for the 6 weeks before summer.
Summer
Children age 2-5 will be dismissed to kid’s church co-op during the service. This is a parent run time. Families will be responsible to take turns leading this time. Materials/resources will be provided.
